Cityside Fiber, an ultra-fast internet service provider, is expanding its high-performance fiber network to Lake Forest and Mission Viejo.
Construction has begun in Lake Forest, with customer activations expected late this year. Preliminary development work is underway in Mission Viejo with plans to break ground there later this spring.
Further Orange County city expansions are planned for 2024.
Cityside Fiber completed the development of its first projects in Tustin and Dana Point late last year, enabling upgraded connectivity for local residents.
Cityside is installing fiber-optic infrastructure networks throughout Orange County from data centers to homes and businesses.
The Irvine-based company has raised more than $100 million from SDC Capital Partners LLC, a New York-based digital investment firm, a firm spokesperson told the Business Journal on March 21.
