WHY: Founded Waterford Property Co. in 2019 with Sean Rawson to convert thousands of market rate apartment units into workforce housing, which caters to middle-income rental communities, or “essential workers.”
IN THE NEWS: Waterford is expanding beyond Orange County and California, beginning with a 395-unit multifamily property it purchased in Dallas. The property was Waterford’s first in Texas. Waterford will be working with Chicago-based Vistria, Brooklyn-based Northern Liberties and the Dallas Housing Financing Corp. to provide workforce housing in Texas.
