WHO: Jacqueline DuPont-Carlson is a gerontologist, founder and former chief executive, Assured In-Home Care and Irvine Cottages Memory Care. Marc Carlson is a veteran tech executive, now managing director with 3 Points Partners public relations and communications firm, among other professional roles.
WHY: Jacqueline has more than 30 years of professional experience working with older adults and the Alzheimer’s community. She serves on many boards: Wells of Life, St. Anne School, USC School of Gerontology, Notre Dame and University of San Diego, where she also lectures on aging issues. Marc serves as a CEO adviser, coach and board member for several technology companies. For the past decade, Marc and Jacqueline have led annual mission trips to Peru with high school students to support Rev. Joe Uhen’s work by building homes and working in the school that the group completed there in 2012.
IN THE NEWS: Alzheimer’s Orange County significantly expanded its reach in 2019 when Jacqueline donated Irvine Cottages to the organization.
NOTABLE: She focuses on protecting and caring for older adults and is currently writing a fictional novel about grieving and memory loss titled “The Cottage.”
