Goodwill of Orange County (Goodwill OC) is proud to announce the appointment of two accomplished leaders, Sally Leisegang and John Kearney, to its Board of Directors. Together, they bring deep expertise in finance, banking, and community engagement, further strengthening Goodwill OC’s commitment to advancing opportunity and impact across Orange County.

Sally Leisegang joins the Board with more than two decades of global finance and executive leadership experience spanning the United States, London, and South Africa. As a Chartered Accountant, the globally recognized premier accounting designation equivalent to a U.S. CPA, she has built a distinguished career across audit, investment banking, private equity, and corporate leadership.
Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer of Thistle, a whole food meal delivery company, Leisegang has led financial and operational transformation for high-growth, private equity-backed companies—driving scalable growth, improving profitability, and strengthening financial discipline. She has also served as a private equity operating partner and advisor, regularly engaging with boards on financial strategy, risk management, and long-term value creation.

John Kearney brings more than 25 years of experience in financial services and is a returning member to Goodwill OC’s Board. As Vice President and District Manager for U.S. Bank’s Central Orange County District, he leads branch performance, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. Known for his strengths-based leadership approach, Kearney has built a reputation for driving results while supporting team development and community connection.
A UC Irvine alumnus and graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School, Kearney is also a passionate advocate for financial literacy and community impact. He previously served as Chairman of the Board for Goodwill OC and remains deeply committed to the organization’s mission.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sally and John to our Board of Directors,” said Nicole Suydam, President and CEO of Goodwill of Orange County. “They are both incredibly talented and thoughtful leaders whose experience and perspective will be invaluable as we continue to grow. Their expertise in financial stewardship, governance, and community impact will help shape the future of our organization and strengthen our ability to advance our mission and expand opportunities for the individuals we serve.”
