Irvine-based TV maker and digital media company Vizio has received a Technology & Engineering Emmy awardย and will be recognized at the official award ceremony in April.
The award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences โwas granted for Vizioโs pioneering work in utilizing data to power better viewing experiences for consumers and advancing the broader television marketplace,โ the company (NYSE: Vizio) said today.

Shares in Vizio rose 5.2% to $10.36 apiece for a market cap of $2 billion.
