Terran Orbital Corp. in Irvine said that 10 satellites incorporating main structures built by the company have been deployed into orbit from Vandenberg Space Force base.
Terran (NYSE: LLAP) made the satellites’ so-called “buses,” which hold the scientific equipment and other necessary components of the satellite. The satellites were launched on Sept. 2.
Terran Orbital manufactured the buses for Lockheed Martin for payload integration and delivery to the U.S. Space Development Agency.
Terran is based in Boca Raton, Fla., but has the bulk of its operations in Irvine.
Shares in the company fell 2.7% to $1.42 apiece for a market cap of $243 million.
