The La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orange County Airport, a 181-room Santa Ana hotel situated near the Irvine Business Complex, has traded hands for $25.3 million, or $139,702 per room.
By total price, the sale is the fifth largest hotel transaction in OC in the past six months.
A private Cerritos-based investor acquired the hotel at 2721 Hotel Terrace from an affiliate of Highgate Hotels.
The hotel was built in 1985 and last renovated in 2017.
The priciest hotel sale to occur this year was the $145 million deal for the Pendry Newport Beach, previously the Fashion Island Hotel.
That deal could soon be far eclipsed by a potential $650 million acquisition of the Montage Laguna Beach; sources tell the Business Journal that billionaire Tilman Fertitta is preparing to close soon on the 259-room luxury hotel.
