Electropure Inc., Laguna Hills, a clean-water technology company, appointed former OC supervisor Harriett M. Wieder senior consultant for the advisory committee of its newly formed subsidiary, Micro Imaging Technology. She will work with Electropure’s management staff in further developing the company’s technology for the instantaneous detection and identification of fluid-borne microorganisms.
“I am pleased to be able to continue my involvement in the important business of assuring a safe water supply,” said Wieder.
Wieder’s experience as a public official includes 16 years on Orange County’s Board of Supervisors. She has served in appointed positions under Presidents Reagan and Clinton, as well as several California governors, including stints on the National Safe Drinking Water Advisory Council and the California Air Resources Board.
