Xponential Boosts Digital Features With Apple Watch

Boutique fitness franchisor Xponential Fitness LLC just boosted its digital offering with new capability that syncs its eight brands with the Apple Watch.

The Irvine-based company said the integration will allow customers across its fitness brands to receive notifications on upcoming classes, join challenges and track their performance through the Apple Watch.

Xponential’s portfolio of brands includes Pure Barre, Club Pilates, CycleBar, YogaSix, StretchLab, Row House, AKT, Rumble and Stride, collectively totaling more than 1,700 locations globally.

The new Apple Watch capability adds to the company’s digital offering, especially when factoring in 88% of the membership across the brand portfolio is on iOS with 40% Apple Watch owners, according to Xponential. In some instances, some Xponential brands boast an iOS user base of 92%.

The company last year leaned heavily on virtual to remain in front of its membership base with online class offerings. In June the company launched its on-demand class platform, called Go.

Sarah Luna, who was promoted to Xponential president last year, boasted the company was one of the first to take its classes virtual during the pandemic allowing it to not “skip a beat.”

Go sees more than 22,000 non-members trialing the platform each quarter. It currently offers seven days free before charging $29.99 per month. Some 884,525 accounts have so far been created with a compound monthly growth rate of 7% since last year’s launch.

The company also said app usage has increased 40% since December.
