Santa Ana-based QuantumSphere Inc. was down 31% to 38 cents and a $9 million market cap. The maker of chemical catalysts issued promissory notes valued at about $1.3 million and warrants for about 2 million shares to certain accredited investors. The borrowing was secured by two senior executives’ common shares, options, and warrants representing about 3.6 million shares of the company’s common stock.
