The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.1% to 17,743.93 and the Nasdaq was up 0.2% to 4,884.69.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond rose 4.2% to 2%.
The price of gold rose 0.6% to $1,204.
RETAIL
Anaheim-based Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. was down 2.4% to $2.80 and a $193 million market cap. The action sports retailer reported higher sales in its most recent quarter but warned of softness in the current period.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based NetList Inc. was down 5.6% to 64 cents and a $26 million market cap. The storage systems maker said a jury verdict in its lawsuit against Diablo Technologies found for Diablo on issues that include breach of contract and misappropriation of trade secrets, and for NetList on trademarks.
