The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond rose 0.4% to 2.29%.
The price of gold rose 0.7% to $1,208.30.

Irvine-based Boot Barn Holdings Inc. was up 4% to $21.82 and a market cap of $544 million on positive quarterly earnings reported yesterday after markets closed. The western apparel chain said sales rose 11.7% to $86.4 million and same store sales increased 7.3% in its most recent quarter, compared with the same period last year. Its net income was about $1 million compared with a net loss of $1.4 million year-over-year. Results were in-line with or slightly higher than analysts’ estimates.
RESTAURANTS
Costa Mesa-based El Pollo Loco Holdings Inc. was up 1.2% to $25.96 and a market cap of $966.7 million as Morgan Stanley upgraded the fast food chicken chain’s shares from ‘underweight’ to ‘equal weight.’
