HOMEBUILDING
OC homebuilders fell on declining housing starts in August. Single-family home starts fell 2.4% and multifamily building plunged 32%, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Newport Beach-based William Lyon Homes was down 2.1% to $24.36 and a market cap of $760.7 million. Irvine-based Standard Pacific Corp. was down 1.9% to $7.98 and a market cap of $2.3 billion. Irvine-based Tri Pointe Homes was down 2.5% to $14.15 and a market cap of $2.3 billion.
