TECHNOLOGY
Irvine’s Skyworks Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: SWKS) was up 12% to $84.92 and a $14.8 billion market cap after the chipmaker reported Q1 financial results. Though results missed analyst’s expectations, the company bought back a record amount of stock during its fiscal first quarter, and authorized a new $2 billion stock-buyback program, taking advantage of its weak share price.
Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) in Irvine fell 3.2% to $67.82 and a $4.2 billion market cap. The data analytics software maker’s shares have dipped about 8% since reaching a 52-week high of $73.52 in January. The company is expected to release its quarterly results on Feb. 20.
