HEALTHCARE
ChromaDex Corp. (Nasdaq: CDXC) shares rallied about 14% to $4 apiece and a $219 million market cap. Shares in the Irvine-based nutritional supplements maker had dropped 20% over the least three sessions after one shareholder, who owns about 6% of the company, was named in SEC investigation. ChromaDex said it isn’t part of the inquiry.

Acacia Research Corp. (Nasdaq: ACTG) in Newport Beach was down 7% to $3.15 and a $156 million market cap. The patent licensing firm’s shares are down about 20% year-to-date.
