The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 0.9% to 1.75%.
The price of gold was up 0.5% to $1,263.

Irvine-based Resources Connection, Inc. was up 12.6% to $14.71 and a market cap of $531.4 million on seven times its usual volume. The consulting firm announced that it plans to repurchase up to 6 million shares of its stock at a price between $13.50 to $16.
RESTAURANTS
Lake Forest-based Del Taco Restaurants Inc. was up 8.3% to $13.68 and a market cap of $518.8 million on ten times its usual volume. The casual dining chain announced third quarter net income of $4.9 million, up from $200,000 a year ago, on revenue of $104.4 million, up about 6% year-over-year.
BANKS
Irvine-based Banc of California Inc. is down 13% to $13.80 and a market cap of $689.7 million on five times its usual volume. The bank plans to announce its third quarter results prior to markets open on Oct. 20.
