Orange County homebuilders declined as investors awaited the release of minutes from the Federal Reserve Board’s July meeting, which could indicate whether the Fed would raise interest rates later this year.
Irvine-based CalAtlantic Group was down 1.6% to $35.59 and a $4.2 billion market cap. Irvine-based Tri Pointe Group Inc. was down 1.6% to $13.47 and a $2.1 billion market cap. Newport Beach-based William Lyon Homes was down 2% to $15.87 and a $500 million market cap. Aliso Viejo-based New Home Company Inc. was down 0.3% to $9.89 and a $206 million market cap.
