Laguna Trolley Goes Year-Round

The City of Laguna Beach plans free weekend trolley service in Laguna Beach along Pacific Coast Highway to begin in March, according to a press release from Visit Laguna Beach.

The trolley has run during July and August but will beginning this spring will be available year-round.

It joins at least three other such tourism and hospitality services in Orange County including Brea-based OC Trolley, a wine trolley service in Old Town Orange, and the Anaheim Resort Transportation trolleys.

Not all of these are free, but like the Laguna offering they are motorized trolleys that don’t depend on a track system. The cities of Santa Ana and Garden Grove are in the early stages of a fixed-track service.

The program is funded in part by the Orange County Transportation Authority.
