Crystal Cove Sale Goes for $16.4M

Inside the exclusive enclave of Crystal Cove, a Spanish Revival-style mansion on Offshore sold for $16.4 million, just shy of its asking price of $16.9 million.

The 10,000-square-foot home has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as a guest casita.

The master suite has its own deck with disappearing pocket doors, sitting area with fireplace, walk-in closet, soaking tub, and separate shower. Other amenities include an elevator, theater, office, wine cellar, gym, kitchen with two islands and ocean-view breakfast room, as well as a 3,000-square-foot garage that can accommodate up to 10 vehicles.

The home was designed and built by Oatman Architects, DeJager Design, and Pridemark Construction.

Records show the seller is an executive at Irvine-based hedge fund Rimrock Capital Management LLC.

John Cain of Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty held the listing. Grant Bixby of Compass represented the seller.
