A four-story mansion inside the guard-gated community of Crystal Cove has sold for $16.4 million.
The 13,746-square-foot home in Newport Coast has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, as well as a separate guest casita.
It has a two-story indoor racquetball and basketball court, wood-paneled library, 12-person theater, a wine tasting room with a 3,000-bottle capacity wine cellar, gym with a juice bar, and an eight-car garage.
The home also has a swimming pool and spa, overlooking the ocean, as well as a built-in barbeque.
Located on Deep Sea, the property’s owners have access to the exclusive community’s amenities such as tennis courts, fitness room, and swimming pool. It’s about a mile inland from Crystal Cove State Park.
The home initially listed in 2017 with an asking price of $22.8 million before dropping to its latest asking price of $17.8 million earlier this year, according to listing details.
Property records show the buyer is an executive at an Ontario-based fire and electronic security installation and maintenance firm.
John Cain of Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty held the listing.
Dalia Maalouf of HomeKeys Realty represented the buyer.
