“With respect to our financial performance, we are pleased that the company continued to deliver strong results in the second quarter, and we are raising our outlook for the year,” said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, in presenting the earnings for the quarter ended June 30.
Shares in Santa Monica-based Activision Blizzard rose 6.1% in after-hours trading to $84.70 apiece.
Earlier in the day, the company announced that Blizzard Entertainment President J. Allen Brack is leaving the video games maker, following a sexual harassment and discrimination lawsuit filed by California officials.
