Volatility on Tap for Forum
The Orange County Public Company Forum plans to look at how market volatility affects valuations at its annual breakfast seminar on Thursday.
The event is set for the Hilton Costa Mesa with a keynote by John Ryding, chief market economist at Bear, Stearns & Co.
“The topic is timely given market volatility,” said Stephen Cooke, the forum’s chair and a partner at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP.
The event also is set to cover “issues that CEOs face while managing stakeholders’ expectations,” he said.
Ryding’s speech is set to be followed by a panel talk including Cooke, Thomas Rathjen, Western region vice president at New York Stock Exchange Inc., Cary Thompson, senior managing director at Bear Stearns, and Bruce Krogstad, marketing vice president at Fleet Specialist Inc.
