Vietnam is expected to sign a contract to buy 4 Boeing 787 “Dreamliner” planes, worth around $500 million at list price, during Prime Minister Phan Van Khai’s visit to the United States this month, state-run Voice of Vietnam radio said.
State media have said Vietnam Airlines plans to launch a direct flight to the U.S., which is home to about 1.5 million of Vietnamese origin, in mid-2006, Reuters reported.
