Verizon Criticizes Qwest’s MCI Bid

Verizon Communications Inc. on Wednesday criticized Qwest Communications International Inc.’s $8 billion bid for MCI Inc., saying Qwest’s finances were weak and it could not prove its claims of savings from buying MCI.
