Bearings maker Timken Co. has bought Los Alamitos-based Bearing Inspection Inc. for undisclosed terms, the company said Thursday.
Canton, Ohio-based Timken said Bearing Inspection’s Orange County operation will be the headquarters for its Timken Aerospace Services unit. Timken has two other aerospace units.
Bearing Inspection provides aerospace bearing inspection and reconditioning services. The company’s president, Drew Baker, has been named general manager of Timken Aerospace Services.
The unit provides service to airlines, the military and engine makers. Bearing Inspection has an 80,000-square-foot facility and about 120 employees.
“Timken brings access to incredible resources, and we are looking forward to providing even stronger reconditioning programs,” Baker said.
Timken has 26,000 workers and posted sales of $4.5 billion last year.
