Second Harvest Plans Post-Y2K Food Drive

The Second Harvest of Orange County is coordinating a countywide food drive from Jan. 15 to Feb. 1.

Called Y Go 2 Waste, the food drive will benefit the network of 189 Second Harvest food banks across the country. Second Harvest is enlisting businesses, grocery and convenience stores, schools, churches, community organizations, civic groups and pubic officials to join the effort The organization also is encouraging individuals who have stockpiled food because of concern about potential Y2K problems to donate some to the hungry.
