Five Star Bank Expands in Newport Beach

Adds five bankers, targets SoCal growth

Five Star Bank is doubling down on Newport Beach as it expands its Orange County footprint, hiring five senior bankers to grow its presence across the greater Los Angeles market.

The Rancho Cordova–based community bank said Rolland Mattoon, Ryan Shannon, Kristina Colin, Scott Cook and Ritu Singh will serve as regional managing directors and relationship managers, focusing on middle-market clients.

The expansion builds on the bank’s existing Newport Beach office, with plans to open another location in Southern California later this year, as executives target the area’s dense business base as a key driver of growth.

“This expansion reflects the strength of Five Star Bank and our commitment to bringing concierge banking services to clients who desire direct access to a banker who is a client advocate and community champion,” James Beckwith, president and CEO of Five Star Bank, said in a statement.
