Report: Alcan in Talks With BHP

Canada’s Alcan Inc is in talks with global mining giant BHP Billiton as it looks to fend off a takeover attempt by U.S. rival Alcoa Inc , Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper reported on Wednesday.
