Quality Systems Inc., an Irvine medical software maker, said Monday that it was buying Healthcare Strategic Initiatives, a healthcare billing company out of St. Louis.
Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Quality makes medical records and billing software that doctors and dentists use to manage their practices.
The company said the deal involved its NextGen Healthcare Information Systems Inc. subsidiary, which is based in suburban Philadelphia.
The buy complements NextGen’s new NextGen practice solutions unit, which provides doctors with revenue management cycle services, Quality said.
