ACCOUNTING

Anaheim-based White Nelson & Co. hired Greg Arbues to head up the newly formed practice development department as client advocate director. Arbues will oversee marketing, sales and community relations activities for the company. Before joining White Nelson, Arbues worked for Wertz & Co. in Irvine.

ARCHITECTURE

Nadel Architects Inc. named Craig Johnson and Edward Lucero to associates in the firm’s retail division in Costa Mesa. Prior to joining Nadel, Johnson and Lucero managed their own architectural practices.

CONSTRUCTION

Abacus Project Management Inc. in Newport Beach added Dara Hendrix-Kodera to its construction and litigation support services divisions as a senior project manager and senior claims consultant.

EDUCATION

South Orange County Community College District appointed Tracy Daly to the newly created position of director of marketing, government and community relations. Prior to joining the district, Daly was general manager at Los Angeles County Transportation Authority and assistant executive officer at Southern California Regional Rail Authority.

FINANCE

Paula Nishibayashi and Julie Kramer-McNatt joined Legacy Advisors LLP in Irvine. Nishibayashi most recently was a senior manager in the personal financial planning practice at KPMG LLP and Kramer-McNatt was a manager at RSM McGladrey.

HEALTHCARE

Dr. Leonard Sender recently was appointed clinical professor of medicine and medical director of clinical oncology services for University of California, Irvine’s Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center in Orange. Sender is a nationally known expert in disorders of the blood and lymphatic system, such as leukemia and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He previously was medical director of the St. Joseph Hospital Regional Cancer Center in Orange and will continue as medical director of the CHOC Cancer Institute at Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

LAW

Watt, Tieder, Hoffar & Fitzgerald LLP named Cynthia M. Lane partner in the Irvine office’s new practice group devoted to labor and employment law. She previously worked in labor and employment law for Fisher & Phillips LLP.

David Christopher Baker joined Hart, King & Coldren in Santa Ana as partner. Baker’s practice includes litigation and transactional work in the areas of business, real estate and intellectual property. He is also a licensed real estate broker.

Irvine-based Kring & Chung LLP added Jennifer J. Lee to the firm, where she’ll work on business litigation.

MARKETING

Heidi Hudnall was named account coordinator at Santa Ana-based creative agency Truth and Advertising. Hudnall came to the agency from Cooley Advertising and Public Relations in Phoenix.

Kelly Borgen was promoted to vice president of Costa Mesa-based The Roxburgh Agency Inc. Most recently, she served as an account executive.

NONPROFIT

Community Foundation of Orange added five new members to its board. They are: Arianna Barrios, director of communications for HomeAid America Inc.; John Ortega, president of the Orange Unified School District and a deputy in the Orange County Sheriff’s Department; Don Saltarelli, real estate broker, former Orange County supervisor and the former mayor of Tustin; Bill Steiner, partner in the public affairs and governmental relations firm of Hebrock Steiner McLaughlin Inc., former Orange County supervisor and former executive director of the Orangewood Children’s Foundation; and Juan V & #225;zquez, president of Santiago Canyon College in Orange.

TOURISM

Robert Chlebda was appointed to national association sales of the Newport Beach Conference & Visitors Bureau. Prior to joining the visitor’s bureau, Chlebda served as the national sales manager of the Disneyland Resort Hotels in Anaheim.
