BANKING

Harbor National Bank appointed Robert Beaulieu senior vice president and manager of its Dana Point office. He is a former Bank of America Corp. vice president.

Ted Bremner, vice president and manager of the Union Bank of California’s Orange office, has been promoted to senior vice president and regional manager for the bank’s branch network in the Los Angeles region.

Investment banking company RSM EquiCo of Costa Mesa named Gregg Schwenk director of market research and analysis. RSM EquiCo is a unit of H & R; Block Inc.

FINANCE

Carrie L. Huntley was named director of administration and marketing for Irvine-based IFF Advisors LLC. She will oversee management of IFF’s headquarters. The company consults with foundations on philanthropic programs.

HEALTHCARE

Integrium, a clinical research company in Orange, appointed Scott Wieland senior director of clinical and regulatory affairs.

Irvine-based Ista Pharmaceuticals Inc. named Lauren P. Silvernail chief financial officer and vice president of corporate development. She will be responsible for finance, investor relations and finding new business opportunities.

INSURANCE

SullivanCurtisMonroe Insurance Brokerage of Irvine appointed Eugene Zondlo vice president specializing in contractors’ performance, payment bonds and other forms of insurance.

Safeco Financial Institution Solutions of Santa Ana named Eric M. Juarez senior vice president, chief financial officer.

Jeffrey A. Weber, a vice president at Santa Ana-based First American Corp.’s title insurance unit, has been named to the additional post of associate general counsel. His duties include supervision of general litigation and administration of national claims.

LAW

Bruce Canter, an intellectual property partner with Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP in Newport Beach, has been appointed managing partner of the firm’s OC office. He also serves as chair of the firm’s multi-office intellectual property practice.

NONPROFIT

Michelle Pate, vice president of Irvine-based Keystone Pacific Property Management Inc., has been added to the board of HomeAid Orange County. HomeAid, the charitable operation for the Building Industry Association, builds and renovates shelters for the temporary homeless.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

Ken Schmitz has been appointed chief strategy officer of Strata-Media Inc., an Orange-based branding and business development agency. Lori Andrews also was promoted to senior client services manager.

Jennifer Oswald has rejoined Professional Image Inc., a medical public relations agency in Newport Beach, as a senior media relations specialist. She spent the past three years with agencies in San Francisco.

REAL ESTATE

Irvine-based K. Hovnanian Cos. of California promoted Jorge Alvarez to vice president of operations and Michael Ugar to vice president of development. K. Hovnanian is an affiliate of Red Bank, N.J.-based Hovnanian Enterprises Inc.

Jeff Coburn has joined Charles Dunn Co. as a sales associate specializing in office and industrial properties. He will be based in Charles Dunn’s Seal Beach office.

Faith Schwartz has joined Irvine-based Option One Mortgage Corp., a unit of H & R; Block, as senior vice president of alternative markets. She will be responsible for new product development, secondary marketing and industry relations.

SERVICES

Rancho Santa Margarita-based Paragon Decision Resources Inc. appointed Janelle Gerber senior director of global operations. Paragon provides relocation services.

TECHNOLOGY

Hirsch Electronics Corp. of Santa Ana named D. Scott Howell manager of global marketing, responsible for advertising, trade shows, public relations and Web sites. Hirsch makes security systems.

Keith Allen has been named senior vice president of network sales for Scott Blum’s Direct Response Network Inc. in Aliso Viejo. He will be responsible for overseeing sales through several of Blum’s holdings, including Buy.com, BuyMagazine, BuyTV, United Commerce Service and Thinkbig.
