Phil Hecht has been named business development manager for Strata-Media in Orange. Hecht joins the agency with more than 25 years of experience. He will focus on building new accounts.
Young & Rubicam Brands appointed Michael Prieve as executive creative director for its Irvine office. Prieve comes from FCB San Francisco, where he most recently was executive creative director. He’s previously done advertising work for Calvin Klein, Coca Cola, ESPN, Levi Strauss, Microsoft and Nike.
L & A; Marketing and Advertising Inc. in Newport Beach named Gregg Gibboney senior graphic designer and Rita Kelly senior account executive. Gibboney comes with more than 20 years of experience in commercial art and design disciplines including art direction, graphic design, environmental graphic design, illustration, production and project management. Kelly most recently comes from Hayes Martin Associates Inc., where she worked as an account coordinator and junior account executive.
BANKING
Western Financial Bank, based in Irvine, added Preston Price, senior financial consultant, to its investment staff. Price will be responsible for directing client investment portfolios, assessing investment needs and retirement planning. Prior to joining Western Financial, he was a financial adviser with Morgan Stanley.
EDUCATION
Scott Browne has become associate dean of Concordia University’s School of Business in Irvine. Browne has taught business at the college since 1993, served as assistant professor of business and director of undergraduate business programs.
EMPLOYMENT
Kelly Walsh joins PrintStaff’s Costa Mesa office as placement coordinator. Walsh has more than 20 years of experience in the printing and publishing industry with a variety of roles including customer service, design, typesetting, scanning, film preparation and platemaking. Printstaff is a placement agency for temporary help in the graphic arts and printing industries.
LAW
Lacey J. Robb joined the Newport Beach firm Cummins & White LLP. Robb’s practice focuses on transactional business law with emphasis on taxation, estate planning and administration, real estate and corporate governance. She previously was with Mansfield, Tanick & Cohen of Minneapolis.
Greenberg Traurig, an international law firm, named Peter Gluck of counsel in its OC office where he will start an intellectual property practice. Gluck is the former vice president, chief intellectual property counsel and assistant general counsel of Advanced Medical Optics Inc. in Santa Ana.
Fisher & Phillips LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, elected one of its Irvine associates, John K. Skousen, to partner. Skousen focuses on employment litigation, extending from wage-hour matters to claims of wrongful termination and unemployment discrimination. The firm also elected three other partners from its Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Orlando, Fla., offices.
