ASSOCIATIONS
The OC Executive Network added Ron Liden and Bill Correia to its board of directors. Liden is president of Liden Financial Group. The company specializes in contract financing, commercial funding and construction financing. Correia is owner of William H. Correia Consulting Services. Correia has 20 years experience in marketing and product development. Other new members include Darlynn Morgan, Cap Poore, Brent Evans and Pedram Shojai.
Stanley V. Purdue was named chief executive and Janet Whitcomb chief operating officer at the annual meeting of the OC Chapter of the American Red Cross. Purdue is a 34-year veteran with the Red Cross. He began working at the OC Chapter in 2003 and was most recently manager of programs and services. Whitcomb has 20 years experience in the nonprofit sector and was most recently executive vice president of the Volunteer Center of OC.
BANKING
Brian Constable joined the Newport Beach branch of Sunwest Bank as executive vice president and chief commercial banking officer. He most recently was corporate vice president and commercial sales and marketing manager for Provincial Bank in Riverside. He is involved with Boys & Girls Clubs and was president of the Carlsbad chapter. Also, John Treiber joined Sunwest Bank as vice president and relationship manager. He comes from Provident Bank in Riverside and is the executive logistics director for the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business Alumni Association of Orange County. Additionally, Lisa Sacquety joined as vice president and relationship manager. She comes from Provident Bank in Riverside. She is involved in Girls Inc. of Orange County.
Community Bank in Anaheim promoted Alex B. Arjonilla to first vice president, OC regional business center manager. Arjonilla has more than 28 years of banking experience. He is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce. Keith Molchan was promoted to first vice president, senior relationship manager at Community Bank’s OC Regional Business Center. Molchan has more than 31 years of banking experience.
CONSTRUCTION
The Irvine office of Roel Construction hired Charles Banks as assistant project manager. Banks has more than 11 years of experience in the construction industry and was project manager for International Support System before joining Roel. Janis Hicks joined as assistant project manager and Jesse Jenner and David Mitchell signed on as superintendents.
CONSULTING
Chambers Group Inc. in Irvine added Alissa Cope as principal planner and regulatory specialist. As a member of the environmental planning group Cope will be involved in project management and market development.
EDUCATION
The Orange County High School of the Arts named Susan E. Totten vice president of development and board relations. Previously, Totten was vice president of development at Pacific Symphony. In her seven years there, she oversaw an increase in annual giving from $2.8 million to $8 million. Totten has worked in fundraising for arts organizations in OC for the past 18 years.
Karen R. Graham was named vice chancellor for Faculty Affairs at Chapman University. Graham has been dean of Chapman University College for the past four years. She will manage development and revision of guidelines and criteria for faculty evaluation. Before joining Chapman University College in 2002, Graham was dean of the School of Education at Andrews University.
UC Irvine Extension added Alyson Austin to its advisory committee for the Light Con-struction and Develop-ment Management certificate program. Austin is a 10-year veteran of the homebuilding industry and is vice president of member services at the Building Industry Association of Southern California. She will manage recruiting instructors and developing and updating curriculum.
Coastline Community College hired Shalamon Duke as dean of counseling and special programs and Joumana McGowan as dean of instruction for career and technical education. Duke has a doctorate in educational leadership and community college administration and is a member of the Association of California Community College Administrators board of directors. McGowan comes from Fullerton College where she was a full-time faculty member and department chair of the business management department.
ENTERTAINMENT
Anaheim Arena Management and the Anaheim Ducks added three employees and promoted 10 staff members. New employees are: Randy Bernabe, Jennifer D’Anna and Ken Mitchell. Promoted employees are: Dion Beckton, Adam Brady, Alex Evezich, Kris Loomis, Jamie Minkler, Mike Morrow, Shannon O’Maley, Jesse Tyler, Jennifer Walker and Allison Wright.
REAL ESTATE
Irvine-based Western National Group promoted Theresa Busby to vice president of human resources. She holds series 7 and series 66 licenses and life and health agent licenses. Busby is a steering committee member for the United Way’s annual real estate and building industry luncheon. Prior to joining Western National, Busby was a vice president at Security Pacific, later Bank of America.
TECHNOLOGY
Phil Felando joined QLogic Corp. in Aliso Viejo as vice president of human resources. Felando previously worked for Skyworks Solutions Inc. in Irvine. He has also held positions at Conexant Systems Inc. and TRW Inc. Felando has more than 20 years experience in the human resources field. He is on two advisory boards for the Society for Human Resources Management, which assist with policy and practice development.
