Architect Eric Olsen and Chief Financial Officer Harry Steinway were promoted to principal at the Irvine office of Thomas P. Cox: Architects Inc. Olsen currently oversees the company’s design program on Westgate Pasadena in Pasadena. Steinway directs all financial, accounting and human resource operations.

Mac Mason was named chairman of the California Landscape Contractors Association, OC chapter. Mason is president of Marc Mason Landscape Services in Costa Mesa. The company was founded in 1983. Mason has been a member of the association since 1996.
BANKING
Orange County’s Credit Union promoted Alejandro Hernandez to Buena Park assistant branch manager and added Denise Luciani as Lake Forest assistant branch manager. Hernandez has been with Orange County’s Credit Union for three years and previously was a teller manager at Bank of America Corp. Luciani most recently worked at Partners Federal Credit Union.

Newport Beach-based Lyndon Group LLC hired Anthony M. Salerno as managing director of business development. Salerno recently was the North American controller for Aston Martin. He also worked for Irvine’s Saleen Inc. as vice president of operations.
EDUCATION
Vanguard University named Rick Hardy and Jessica Mireles to new positions. Hardy now is vice president for university advancement and Mireles is vice president for enrollment management. David Elliott was named executive director of the university’s foundation board.
The University of California, Irvine, Extension program promoted Angela Jeantet to the position of director of education programs. Jeantet was promoted from her 14-year position as associate director of business, management and legal programs.

Debra Polequaptewa joined Olympic Staffing Services as staffing manager of the OC division in Orange. Polequaptewa has 22 years of experience as a recruiting and placement professional and specializes in placing accounting and administrative professionals into career, contract and temporary jobs.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP added Terrence R. Allen as a partner in its Irvine office. Allen formerly was a partner with Newport Beach’s O’Melveny & Myers LLP and focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and other corporate transactions.

Brady Rhoades was named managing editor of the Daily Pilot in Newport Beach. Rhoades most recently was assistant managing editor for the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Pasadena Star News and the Whittier Daily News. Paul Anderson was named city editor of the Daily Pilot and Independent and Elizabeth Glazner became features and arts and entertainment editor.

Justin Barnett joined Keystone Pacific Property Management Inc. in Irvine as community association manager. Barnett has more than 10 years of experience in association management and will manage a portfolio of five existing association communities throughout OC.
Stephen M. Batcheller joined Irvine’s Panattoni Development Co. as partner. Batcheller spent more than 20 years with CB Richard Ellis Group Inc.

Russell Garcia was named president and chief executive of Irvine-based WiSpry Inc. Garcia has 20 years of experience in the chip industry and spent 13 years as vice president of marketing for Silicon Systems/Texas Instruments Storage Products. Most recently he was president and chief executive of Irvine-based u-Nav Microelectronics Corp.
Michael Dotson was hired as vice president of retail sales at U.S. Modular LLC in Irvine. Prior to U.S. Modular, Dotson was vice
president and director of sales for Saitek Industries Ltd. He spent 10 years at Saitek and handled North American distribution responsibilities.
