ASSOCIATIONS

Laer Pearce was named vice president of public affairs for the Building Association of Southern California. Pearce began working in public relations in 1976 and founded Laer Pearce & Associates in 1982.


BANKING

Roxanne Barnes was named assistant vice president at PFF Bank & Trust. Barnes is branch manager for the community bank’s branches

in Tustin and Yorba Linda. She is a member

of the Tustin and Yorba Linda chambers

of commerce. She has nearly 20 years of experience in banking.


CONSTRUCTION

Anaheim-based Premier Flooring Solutions added Ryan Haltom as territory sales representative for Orange, Riverside, San Bernadino and southern Los Angeles counties. Haltom promoted and sold Premier products for the past year.


FINANCE

Keith Yonkers joined Trenwith Securities LLC as a managing director in the firm’s Costa Mesa office. Yonkers was formerly a director with Deutsche Bank. He has more than 25 years of middle-market investment banking and private banking experience.


GOVERNMENT

Kris Weber of Ladera Ranch was appointed to the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board. Weber is a member of the International Erosion Control Association, California Building Association and the American Planning Association. He is principal at Hunsaker & Associates Irvine Inc.


HEALTHCARE

Millennium Dental Technologies named Michael Minailo president and chief executive. Minailo is a resident of Huntington Beach and has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. He has held executive roles at firms including Edwards Lifesciences Corp., St. Jude Medical Inc. and CardioThoracic Systems Inc.


LAW

John A. Vogt Jr. was named partner in the Irvine office of Jones Day Law Firm. Vogt focuses on trial practice. Jones Day is an international law firm with 30 locations throughout the world.

Karen A. Gibbs joined the Irvine office of Crowell & Moring LLP as a partner in the antitrust and healthcare groups. She previously held the position of lead in-house counsel at Applied Medical Resources Corp. in Rancho Santa Margarita. She represents companies in the medical device, drug, biotechnology and other healthcare sectors.

Mark Mersel joined Bryan Cave LLP as a partner in its Irvine office. He will practice with the firm’s commercial litigation group. Mersel’s practice focuses on commercial litigation with emphasis on financial services, class action, securities, real estate and bankruptcy matters. He also

has experience in real estate and landlord-tenant litigation.

Greenberg Traurig LLP promoted Bradley D. Blanche to shareholder in its Irvine office. Blanche has more than 15 years of experience with intellectual property litigation and procurement strategies.


MEDIA

Irvine-based Specific Media named David Jakubowski senior vice president. He will be responsible for expanding the company’s client roster, streamlining the media buying process and shaping future products. Jakubowski was previously general manager of Microsoft Corp.’s adCenter and search

strategy.

Judith Brower Fancher was named president of the Orange County Press Club. Fancher is president of marketing firm Brower Miller & Cole. The firm is a strategic marketing, public relations and advertising agency headquartered in Irvine.


NONPROFIT

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County named Newport Beach resident Laura Daugherty marketing and events assistant. She will organize the organization’s fundraising events. Daugherty formerly worked with Youth With a Mission.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County added members to its board of directors: Chuck Ackerman of Yorba Linda, Tammy Brusseau of Fullerton, Douglas Cesario of Irvine, Liz Baca Lollman of Long Beach, Michael Suydam of Aliso Viejo and David Williams of Fullerton.


REAL ESTATE

Scot Cool joined Keystone Pacific Property Management Inc. as a community association manager in Irvine. Cool will manage association communities throughout OC. Cool has a bachelor’s

degree in business from the University of Southern California.

Coreland Cos. of Tustin added Thomas Tway as leasing/sales associate. Tway spent three years with REP Commercial in Irvine as a retail/leasing associate. He has extensive leasing experience, having completed retail lease transactions with McDonalds, Starbucks, T-Mobile and Subway.


RESTAURANTS

Carlsbad-based Rubio’s Restaurants Inc. promoted Mark Watkins to vice president of operations and franchising. He will oversee operations in OC, San Diego and Northern California. Watkins began working for Rubio’s as a restaurant general manager in 1999. Watkins spent 20 years with Frisbie Management Inc.


TECHNOLOGY

Kyliptix Solutions Inc. named Ram Iyer to its advisory board. Iyer has held positions at AAC Corp. and Infolinks Computers Pvt. Ltd. He currently serves as vice president of technology and product management with Centergistic Solutions Inc.
