Hilton Anaheim announced the following appointments: Janet Solitario, sales manager; Felipe J. Guerena, recruitment manager; Lori S. Koester, sales manager; Vijay Thukral, sous chef. In addition, the hotel promoted Nan Oaxaca to assistant director of human resources.
Residence Inn by Marriott at John Wayne Airport announced the following appointments: Sam Sahrai, general manager; Eva Gleason, director of sales; Cambria Stobaugh, senior sales manager. The hotel is slated to open July 15.

Susan Howington was promoted to senior vice president and general manager for Lee Hecht Harrison’s Irvine office. She was previously vice president of business development. Howington will oversee marketing, sales and the firm’s career services.
The Professionals in Human Resources Association named Edward Garcia vice chair for District 8, which includes Orange County. Garcia, president of Edwards & Associates LLC, will also serve on the diversity task force as diversity chair.
Margo Morgenlander joined JobOptions.com as regional account manager for OC. Based in Irvine, Morgenlander will be responsible for business development and consulting. Morgenlander comes to the firm from Spherion, where she was a manager within the staffing group.
Christian & Timbers hired Peter C. Santora as a vice president for the firm’s Irvine office. Santora comes to the firm from Scient Corp., where he was managing director. Santora will focus on the e-business, financial services, media and entertainment, professional services, real estate and retail market segments.

Irvine-based Sullivan-CurtisMonroe Insurance Brokerage appointed Barbara J. Nice vice president. Previously, Nice was an executive vice president of Bolton & Co. She will specialize in employee benefits for mid-market to large multi-site accounts.

Kathryn M. Sheehan joined Preston Gates & Ellis LLP’s OC office as associate. Sheehan comes to the firm from Alaska Airlines. At Preston, she will focus on commercial and intellectual property litigation.
Michael Whalen joined O’Melveny & Myers as a partner for the firm’s Newport Beach, Irvine and Menlo Park offices. His practice is focused on financing and technology transactions.

NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Santa Ana, named Isabelle Krasney executive director. Previously, Krasney was business development manager at Sam’s Club in Irvine. She has more than 20 years’ experience in sales, marketing, membership and promotions.
The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana added Myron Shuster to its board of directors. Shuster is a vice president of First American Trust in Newport Beach.
Publisher and CEO of The OC Register, N. Christian Anderson III, was re-elected chairman of the OC Business Committee for the Arts. The nonprofit organization is committed to supporting the arts through increased support from the business community and development of business partnerships.

Michael R. Dorsey and David V. Kinney were named senior vice presidents for Cushman Realty Corp.’s OC office. Previously, they were senior vice presidents at Grubb & Ellis’ Newport Beach office.
A 30-year industry veteran, Robert Reicher, was appointed research services manager for Grubb & Ellis, Newport Beach. He comes to the firm from Market Profiles, where he was a vice president.
Terri Quinlan joined Leisure World Laguna Woods as public information specialist. The communications veteran has written, produced and hosted educational and entertainment programs for community television throughout Orange County. Quinlan will host a weekly Leisure World television program.

Tustin-based TDK Semiconductor Corp. promoted Barry Thompson to vice president of engineering. Thompson, one of the original founders of Sierra Research and Technology Inc., joined TDK as part of its acquisition of Sierra.
