CONSTRUCTION

Douglas Sawyer was named regional manager at Parsons Brinckerhoff Construction Services Inc. in Orange. He will be responsible for operations in Southern California, Nevada and Hawaii. He previously served as an area manager with Parsons Brinckerhoff.

FINANCE

Eagle Community Credit Union in Lake Forest promoted Amy McCasland to manager in the Lake Forest branch. Andrea Alcala, who served as the Placentia branch manager, was named manager in Rancho Santa Margarita.

HEALTHCARE

Laguna Hills Surgery Center, which is run by Dallas-based Cirrus Health, named Kevin Becker, an anesthesiologist, as medical director and director of pain management. He has been in private practice at St. Joseph Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Orange County since 1986. Cirrus Health appointed Timothy J. McGinley as regional vice president of Southern California Operations. The Laguna Niguel resident previously worked for Kaiser Permanente as a consultant.

INSURANCE

Los Alamitos-based Mills Insurance Services named Thomas N. Braly as chairman and chief executive officer. Braly has been with Mills for nearly 32 years and most recently served as president. Brandon N. Braly was promoted to president. He has been with the company for nearly 19 years. Kori T. Goodwin was promoted to vice president. Goodwin previously was the manager of the company’s Palm Desert office for the past 11 years.

NONPROFIT

Mike Kartsonis, president and founder of Dynamic Fabrications in Santa Ana, was appointed as a trustee for the National Tool and Machining Association, which is a lobbyist for the contract metalworking industry.

Art & Creativity for Healing Inc., a group that arranges art classes and workshops for children, teens and adults suffering from abuse, illness, grief or stress, appointed Sandy Bohi, an entrepreneur and resident of San Clemente, as chair. Bohi currently owns a drugstore in the Inland Empire. With husband Markus, she also owns Forum Snowboards, Foursquare, Special Blend clothes and Circa shoes. During her career, Sandy has owned several drugstores and was the first woman and non-pharmacist to own a pharmacy in the state of California.

REAL ESTATE

SunCal Cos., which recently moved from Anaheim to Irvine, named Bruce Cook as general counsel. Cook will provide ongoing legal advice and direct all affairs handled by outside law firms involved with SunCal’s development projects statewide. Prior to joining SunCal, Cook served for more than 25 years as a founder and partner of the law firm Voss, Cook & Thel in Newport Beach.

Edward Nolan was named chief executive of SunCal. Most recently, he served as president and CFO of Singapore-based Hudson Advisors Asia Pacific Ltd., a real estate asset management and commercial mortgage services company.

Gary Cunningham joined Irvine-based RiverRock Real Estate Group as general manager. Prior to joining RiverRock, Cunningham was director of property management and general manager with Insignia/ESG Inc., where he was responsible for 4.2 million square feet of projects in Orange County. He also previously worked for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Hong Kong office.

GVA DAUM hired Richard A. Hawthorne as senior vice president in the Newport Beach office. He has been in the real estate industry for more than 28 years and previously owned his own development company in Irvine.

David W. Stolte joined NAI Capital Commerical’s Newport Beach office as vice president. He will specialize in the sales of investment properties and the development of senior assisted living facilities. He previously worked for Charles Dunn Co.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based TransDimension Inc. appointed Michael Holt as vice president of marketing and business operations. Prior to joining TransDimension, Holt was president and chief executive officer of eMicro, a Singapore-based consumer audio chip company.
