Cynthia Foster joined Poole, Rasmussen Accountants Inc. in Santa Ana as a partner. Foster currently is the chairwoman for the ambassadors of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce.


BANKING

Jeffery Thomas joined Citigroup Private Bank as a vice president. Before joining Citigroup, Thomas was vice president and Western regional sales director for Kampen Management for 12 years. Thomas has been a Tustin city councilman since 1992.


BUSINESS SERVICES

Anderson Consulting in Irvine promoted Michael Hirt to partner in the enterprise technology group. Hirt joined the firm in 1995 and specializes in SAP software implementations and consulting. David George joined the company as a partner in the business consulting group and Mark Chao as a principal in the Pacific Southwest state and local tax practice.

Alvar Gonzalas joined Blue C Cos. in Fullerton as chief executive officer. Be-fore joining the company, Gonzalas was national director of production at Man Rabbit House Multi-media.


CONSTRUCTION

Andrew L. Youngquist Construction Inc., Costa Mesa, named J.P. Caspers senior project manager. Caspers was construction manager for Sierra Bay Construction before joining Andrew L. Youngquist.

Beazer Homes in Orange named Judi Schweitzer vice president of forward planning. Schweitzer is a member of Urban Land Institute and USC Graduate Real Estate Association and also was a former director and member of BIA/Home Builders Council.


EDUCATION

International School Licensing Corp. named Dana Magenau vice president of corporate partnerships. Before joining the Irvine-based company, Magenau worked in Hong Kong for seven years.


FINANCIAL SERVICES

Sharon Roberts was named director of practice development at Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Gold-stein LLP. Roberts will work with the firm’s Los Angeles, Santa Ana and Ontario offices.


HEALTHCARE

CardioGenesis Corp., Foothill Ranch, appointed Joseph Kletzel II to its board. Kletzel is chief operating officer of La Jolla-based Advanced Tissue Sciences.

Apria Healthcare Group Inc., Costa Mesa, appointed Tony Domenico executive vice president of sales. Domenico has held many senior home healthcare executive positions over a 17-year period.


MANUFACTURING

Microsemi Corp., Irvine, named John Peterson vice president of corporate quality and business process improvement. Peterson was recently vice president of quality and technology for the storage products division at Texas Instruments Inc.


MARKETING

Cobalt Business Communications hired Burcu Ozgun as a marketing executive.


MEDIA

Jim Kaplan was named classified ad-vertising director of LA and OC Weekly. Kaplan returns to LA Weekly after an 11-year absence.


NONPROFIT

John Most, a partner with the T & O; Group in Irvine, was named chairman of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Orange County chapter’s board. Previously, Most was vice chairman of the board.


RESTAURANT

Don Thompson was hired as division president of McDonald’s USA. Thompson is currently president of McDonald’s Midwest division and will relocate to the West division offices in Irvine. Thompson joined McDonald’s in 1990 as a restaurant systems engineer.


TECHNOLOGY

Valence Semiconductor, Irvine, promoted Dr. Glenn Gulak to vice president of engineering and chief technology officer. Gulak was senior technology advisor for the company before the promotion.

Hop-On.com Inc., Garden Grove, appointed Allen Kimble chief financial officer. Kimble, a certified public accountant, previously was Western division controller of Laidlaw Transit services and senior financial consultant at Watkins Consulting Inc.

SRS Labs Inc., Santa Ana, hired Tamara Yanito as manager of investor relations.

Irvine-based Access360 hired Paul Gigg as the company’s president and chief executive officer. Before joining Access360, Gigg was president and chief executive officer of XDrive.

Scott Ross was elected to the board of Cameo Technologies Inc. in Irvine, a subsidiary of Western Digital Corp. Ross is founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Digital Domain.

Gwyneth Gibbs was appointed vice president, Europe for Irvine-based Raining Data Corp. Before joining the company, Gibbs was president of Omnis Technology Corp.
