ACCOUNTING

Gary Kramer was named partner at McGladrey & Pullen LLP’s Irvine office. Kramer worked at McGladrey & Pullen for more than 20 years until 2002. He most recently served as executive vice president of RSM EquiCo in Costa Mesa.

Kenneth Sturm was made partner and Dhyanesh Bhatt was promoted to manager at Kling & Pathak CPAs in Cerritos. Sturm joined the firm four years ago and previously was with Ernst & Young LLP and in private practice. Bhatt joined the firm six years ago and previously was with Corbin & Wertz and Arthur Anderson LLP.

APPAREL

Costa Mesa-based Hurley, part of Nike Inc., added Maria Barnes as senior vice president of women’s young contemporary clothes. Barnes previously was the head of sales, North American group, for Quiksilver Inc.’s Roxy swimwear and accessories.

ASSOCIATIONS

The Orange County chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute elected 12 directors to its board: Amanda Fowler, president; Gar Jackson, vice president; Justin Moisio, treasurer; Stacie Vojtech, membership chair; Mark Collinson, communications chair; Tami Stegmaier, annual report competition chair; Jeremy Buttson, Internet chair; and Jeanie Herbert, chief financial officer of the year chair and adviser. Lila Churney, Christie Brockhage, Kirsta Mallory and Janine Zanelli were elected as directors at large.

AUTOMOTIVE

Cypress-based Toyo Tire USA Corp. promoted Stan Chen as manager of events and motorsports. Chen served as project manager, high performance and lifestyle, since joining Toyo Tire USA in 2004. The company is the U.S. headquarters of Japan’s Toyo Tire & Rubber Co.

EMPLOYMENT

Irene Ortiz-Glass joined Korn/Ferry International’s Irvine office as senior client partner, leadership development solutions. Korn/Ferry is an executive recruitment and consulting company. Previously, Ortiz-Glass founded and was president of Diverse Connections, an executive search and consulting company that focuses on recruiting minorities.

Irvine-based McDermott & Bull Executive Search added Seda Aksut as vice president of strategic development. Aksut most recently was managing director at executive search company Brentwood International.

ENGINEERING

James Sinnema was named a senior associate in the land development department at RBF Consulting’s Irvine office. Sinnema previously was principal and chief financial officer of Merit Civil Engineering Inc.

FOOD

Martha “Marty” Hudak-Roos joined Irvine-based Golden State Foods as vice president of global quality and food safety. Hudak-Roos previously served as vice president of technical services for Clougherty Packing Co., maker of Farmer John.

HEALTHCARE

The Anaheim Memorial Foundation, the fund-raising arm of nonprofit community hospital Anaheim Memorial Medical Center, elected the following to its board: Bob Hernandez as chair; Rakesh Bhola as vice chair; Ron Bates as secretary, and added Donald Snider as a member.

Michael Ball, president of Irvine-based Allergan Inc., joined IntraLase Corp.’s board as a member. Ball has worked for more than 25 years in the healthcare industry. IntraLase is an Irvine maker of laser devices for eye surgery.

MEDIA

KOCE-TV Foundation elected 11 members to its community advisory board: Ding Jo Currie, president of Coastline Community College; Manuel Gomez, vice chancellor of student affairs at University of California, Irvine’s student affairs; Stan Oftelie, consultant to the Orange County Business Council; Stephen Einstein, rabbi for Congregation B’nai Tzedek; Bernadette Medrano, executive director of the Santa Ana Education Foundation; Mary Townsend, director of the Orange County Department of Education Division of Instructional Services; Martha Montoya, founder of Los Kitos LLC; Van Tran, assemblyman; Kathleen Hill, site acquisition manager of Metro PCS Inc.; Mark Whitlock, chief executive of Nehemiah Ministries; and Wing Lam of Wahoo’s Fish Tacos.

REAL ESTATE

Santa Ana-based Triple Net Properties LLC appointed Randy Beckman as vice president of private programs. Beckman previously was vice president at A.G. Edwards Inc. where he opened and managed a branch in Orange.

IndyMac Bank, part of Pasadena-based IndyMac Bancorp Inc., added to its wholesales lending division in Irvine: Randy Willox as regional president, and John DiGiacomo, Elizabeth Enriquez, and Matt Sipowicz as business development managers. Willox previously served as senior regional vice president for Countrywide Financial Corp.’s wholesale lending division. DiGiacomo was an account executive at Manday Mortgage. Enriquez was an account executive at Chapel Funding LLC, and Sipowicz was sales manager for Acoustic Home Loans. a savings and loan and mortgage lender

RETAIL

Patricia Apel was named general manager of Bella Terra in Huntington Beach. Apel previously was director of real estate for Cypress-based Real Mex Restaurants’ El Torito Restaurants, operator El Torito and Acapulco restaurants.

TECHNOLOGY

Envision Financial Systems, a Tustin-based software company, added Grant Brisacher as chief financial officer. Brisacher previously was a partner with accounting firm McGladrey & Pullen LLP.

VitalStream Inc., an Irvine-based subsidiary of VitalStream Holdings Inc. that delivers audio and streaming media over the Internet, named Michel Maeso as executive vice president of global sales and marketing.
