ACCOUNTING

Darlene Beer was promoted to tax partner at Hein & Associates LLP’s Irvine office. She will specialize in tax planning and compliance for public and private companies in her new role.

Timothy Quintanilla joined Mendoza Berger & Co. in Irvine as an audit partner. Quintanilla has worked in accounting for more than 15 years. He previously was an audit partner at Hall & Co. and an audit manager at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP.

ARTS

Josie Emmons Turner joined Santa Ana’s Saint Joseph Ballet Co.’s board. Prior to coming on board, Emmons Turner was the acting executive director of the Broadway Center for Performing Arts in Tacoma, Wash.

ASSOCIATION

The Orange County Business Council welcomed new officers: Chairman Dan Miller, senior vice president of The Irvine Company; chair elect Steve Lenzi, senior vice president of public affairs of the Automobile Club of Southern California; and treasurer Larry Buster, vice president and county manager of First American Title Co.

EMPLOYMENT

Brandon Andrade was hired as a market development manager at Irvine-based McDermott & Bull Inc. He will be responsible for recruiting new search consultants to the company. Andrade previously worked as a district manager in small business services at Automatic Data Processing Inc.

INSURANCE

Karen Goodyear and Lori Hamilton were promoted as managing directors at Newport Beach’s Marsh Inc. Goodyear is a practice leader and client adviser overseeing middle market clients. Hamilton is the manager of Marsh’s risk consulting unit for the Southwest.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Newport Beach-based H. Hendy Associates named Todd Shumaker senior interior designer. In his new role, Shumaker will oversee the design, planning and implementation of large-scale commercial interior design projects. Shumaker worked for local and national design and architecture firms before joining H. Hendy Associates. He has been in the interior design industry for more than 15 years.

MARKETING

Irvine’s RiechesBaird appointed Alan Brew as senior vice president. Brew was the managing director at Siegel & Gale’s Los Angeles office before joining the company.

Stacey Atchley was hired as the director of major giving at KOCE-TV in Huntington Beach. Prior to joining the station, Atchley served as a gifts officer at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles for four years.

REAL ESTATE

Laguna Hills-based DBN Development LLC appointed David Dunzer as managing director of financial services. Dunzer will secure lending for projects. He was vice president of Newport Beach’s Canterbury Consulting before joining DBN.

Doug Wubbena was named vice president of Sperry Van Ness’ Irvine office. Wubbena has worked in real estate for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, he was senior vice president for Vanguard Commercial Realty.

Passco Cos. in Irvine appointed Yvonne Schroeder de Orr as general counsel. She was a franchise counsel director at Taco Bell Corp. before joining Passco. She also served as assistant general counsel and assistant secretary, director of Fujitsu Business Communic-ation Systems Inc.

RESTAURANTS

Lake Forest-based Del Taco Inc. hired Barry B. Barnhart as vice president of franchise operations. Barnhart has been in the restaurant business for more than 35 years.

TECHNOLOGY

Greg Fisher joined Irvine’s StrataCare Inc. as president. Previously, Fisher was president and chief operating officer of StrataCare’s claims division, GenSource.

Yamaha Corporation of America in Buena Park appointed Cliff De-

Manty as director of marketing for its pro audio & combo division. Previously, DeManty worked for the company’s consumer products division. Prior to joining Yamaha, he was the national director of sales for the music industry division of Casio Computer Co.

Irvine-based Atkino Inc. named Terry Orosco as vice president of worldwide sales. Orosco has worked in sales, sales management and business development for 25 years.

Chris Percy joined AT & T; Inc. as the vice president and general manager for the Orange and Riverside regions.

TOURISM

The Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau appointed Linda Mongno Beimfohr of Hornblower Cruises & Events, William O’Connell of Best Western Stovall’s Hotels, Joaquin Quesada of Aramark Sports & Entertainment Inc. and Paul Sanford of the Anabella Hotel as directors.
