Hitoshi Moritani, has been named president and CEO of Noevir USA Inc., a Japanese manufacturer of skincare, cosmetics and nutritional products headquartered in Irvine.
Moritani succeeds Takashi Okura, who will remain as chairman.
Moritani graduated from Kansai University in Japan in 1983 and joined Noevir Co. Ltd., Noevir USA’s parent company. He worked as a sales representative in the Osaka branch office, and also was a systems analyst and assistant manager for overseas operations. In 1995, he was named COO of Noevir Taiwan Inc. In 1999, he returned to Tokyo headquarters as overseas operations manager and was subsequently named CEO of Noevir USA, overseeing a staff of 55 in the Irvine office as well as a network of sales representatives across the U.S.
Noevir’s products are sold through direct sales, but Moritani says he sees the company expanding into e-commerce soon.
