Kotkin Set to Talk Technology Hubs
Joel Kotkin, author of “The New Geography: How the Digital Revolution is Reshaping the American Landscape,” is set to speak Tuesday at the Fullerton Marriott next to California State University, Fullerton.
Kotkin is expected to talk about how technology hubs emerge where the largest number of entrepreneurs and tech-types choose to live.
The talk is part of a series being put on by the city of Fullerton, the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce and Cal State Fullerton. The series was developed by the city’s Technology Infrastructure Task Force as part of its bid to come up with ways to attract tech businesses.
Other scheduled speakers: Thomas Nesbitt, director of the Center for Health and Technology at the University of California, Davis, July 18; David Thornburg, author of “Education in the Communication Age,” Sept. 19; and Thomas Horan, author of “Digital Places,” Oct. 24.
