Janet and Carl Nolet Jr., owners of Aliso Viejo-based Ketel One Vodka, helped Mission Hospital raise $850,000 at its 13th annual black-tie gala at the St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach. The evening included a live auction with prizes such as a trip to Paris, golfing with Arnold Palmer and an Italian dinner for 10 prepared by Peter Bastone, Mission Hospital’s chief executive.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County’s annual golf tournament at the Santa Ana Country Club raised $141,000. Sponsors included the Albert J. Crosson Family Foundation, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Oakley Inc. and Villa Nova Restaur-ant in Newport Beach.
Fountain Valley-based JMG Security Systems Inc.’s Annual Benefit Golf Tour-nament raised $55,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley, which includes Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. The event was held at Mile Square Golf Course in Fountain Valley. Funds will provide programs for 8,000 local children.
Kathryn McCarty gave $50,000 to fund the Kathryn T. McCarty Adaptive Technol-ogy Center at the Southern California College of Optometry’s eye care center in Fullerton. The gift will extend the mission of the Mary Ann Keverline Walls Low Vision Rehabilitation Center by increasing patient independence.
Costa Mesa-based Experian Americas, part of Experian Group Ltd., donated $50,000 to Santa Ana-based Mercy House, which provides housing and support for the homeless.
