Flex-Foot Parent Picks Up Two Firms
Ossur hf, the Scandinavian parent company of Aliso Viejo-based Flex-Foot Inc., announced last week that it will buy two Swedish prosthetic firms. Ossur’s purchases of Pi Medical AB and Karlsson & Bergstrom AB were structured as stock transactions with a total consideration of $5.3 million.
Flex-Foot, which designs and manufactures lower-limb prostheses, was founded in 1985 in Laguna Hills and was acquired by Ossur in July. Ossur’s U.S. headquarters is also in Aliso Viejo.
