Costa Mesa-based FileNet Corp. is set to pay $11 million for Canada’s Yaletown Technology Group, a maker of software that helps companies comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other regulations.
FileNet, which makes document management software, is paying cash for all of the shares of Vancouver, British Columbia-based Yaletown.
Yaletown’s software includes Records Crawler, which searches computer networks and desktop computers for documents that fall under compliance rules.
FileNet earlier this month licensed Records Crawler to use with its FileNet P8 suite of records managment software.
The deal is expected to close in early October.
FileNet said it doesn’t expect the acquisition to impact its financial results for the year.
