An arbitrator has ruled in favor of Santa Ana-based Corinthian Colleges Inc. in a case that pitted students against the school, the company said Monday.
The arbitrator found in favor of Corinthian on all issues in the case brought by former and current students at Corinthian’s Florida Metropolitan University.
The suit said the company concealed its lack of accreditation by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
In addition, the suit said the school concealed that the credits from FMU would not transfer to a four-year college.
The company said it presented multiple written disclosures, which plainly informed prospective students of FMU’s accreditation and credit transfer policy.
Corinthian’s stock rose nearly 2% in after-market trading to $13.5.
