Amgen to Buy Abgenix for $2.2B

Amgen Inc., the world’s largest biotechnology company, said on Wednesday that it plans to acquire Abgenix Inc. for about for $22.50 per share, or about $2.2 billion, in cash, plus assumption of debt.
