Newport Beach-based Alliance HealthCare Services Inc. posted a 26% higher first-quarter profit and reaffirmed its full-year revenue outlook on Wednesday.
Alliance, a provider of medical scanning and cancer treatment services, said it earned $4.3 million in the quarter, compared to $3.4 million in 2008’s first quarter.
Analysts expected Alliance to earn $4.2 million.
Alliance’s revenue was up 11% to $131.8 million, in line with Wall Street’s expectations.
The company said it expects to have full-year revenue of $536 million to $551 million. Analysts are looking for the company to have revenue of $541.4 million in 2009.
Alliance reported results after the close of regular trading Wednesday. The company’s shares closed up 7% as part of a larger market rally on a value of about $450 million.
