Irvine-based Lumina Media LLC will lay off 58 workers, the company confirmed Tuesday.
Lumina was founded in 2013 as I-5 Publications and changed its name in March 2016. It publishes magazines and digital content primarily for people who have or work with animals, and car and motorcycle enthusiast audiences.
Cameron Triebwasser, vice president of marketing and public relations, said Lumina is cutting back because it’s selling assets. She declined comment on the sales because some of them are in-process. All departments will be affected by the layoffs, she said.
Lumina publications include Veterinary Practice News, Reptiles, and Auto Restorer, its website said.
