Small-satellite maker Terran Orbital Corp. said it plans to shift more manufacturing work to Irvine.
“Terran Orbital’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, which were originally planned for expansion on Florida’s Space Coast in partnership with Space Florida, have been accelerated and will now be based in Irvine,” the company said in a statement today.
Terran (NYSE: LLAP), valued around $360 million, “has added over 140,000 square feet in Irvine alone in the past 12 months,” it said.
Terran today also said it received $100 million investment from Lockheed Martin.
